RDPE Funded Machinery
RDPE GRANT FUNDING
In September 2010 Southern Wood Energy gained approval for RDPE Grant Funding towards 2 new Machines; The BRACKE C16a Accumulating Felling Head and the JENZ HEM 820DL Chipper.
This project is part financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development 2007-2013: Europe investing in rural areas.
The Bracke Forest C16a is a felling head and is used to hold and cut numerous stems of standing timber at a time. This machine differs from others on the market in that its cutting mechanism is a rotating circular saw with tungsten carbide teeth that give a clean cut compared to shears which is more ecological friendly and encourages good regrowth.
